If you're thinking “Blueberry and pineapple? That's a strange combination” you're not alone. I was thinking the same thing this morning when I threw this together. But, to my surprise it was fantastic!
What a cool salad this was. I've been wanting to do a roasted garlic vinaigrette for a while but never feel like waiting 45 minutes for garlic to roast. Last night however, I was in no hurry and decided to go for it. If you like roasted garlic, you will be all over this one.
This is a dish that has received nothing but praise from my eaters. The simple taste of sweet, local, organic honey is combined with the aromatic flavors of ginger, garlic and basil. Add just enough chili to excite the taste buds, and you are left with a dish that will be remembered and craved for a long time.
This may very well be the most delicious way in the whole world to eat broccoli. Ok, that may be a stretch, but its still very, very tasty.
